I know what most of you are probably thinking: “What? Lemonade stands are illegal in the United States? Is this a joke DragonBoi?”

Sadly, it’s true. With the exception of California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, North Dakota, Nebraska, Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Illinois, New York, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, it is illegal to operate a lemonade stand of any kind in the US (Even my home state of Kentucky has this absurd law).

What I wanna know is why. Why do American citizens need a business permit just to sell lemonade? FFS most of these stands are ran by kids who don’t know a thing about licenses or permits! Why on earth is the government passing laws that basically threaten to destroy a popular American tradition?
