I took it further by having it as the inspiration for a scifi universe I made up, and several novels that I even published on Amazon. As in "a unicorn using scifi gadgets as a farm horse", "obsessive fans" (like MixMaster), and "Hasbro vs Mattel as space empires".
That's another level way higher than him, but even then sometimes I see myself in his obsession, although I try to focus on the real world by building my own career.
