I think what it was supposed to mean is that sometimes, people were so into something as kids that they say it was their childhood. When that something gets a reboot or something for which they don’t much care, they say their “childhood” (the thing, not the period of their lives) was ruined. But over time, it got all…changed.

If they just refined that personality vacuum of a villain, and had a final battle that wasn’t a load of steaming bullshit, it would have been fine.

I don’t care who wins, nor if it’s live action or animated; I just want to see my two favorite Korra antagonists fight it out.

Remember JoeCartoon and Happy Tree Friends? I remember watching them in elementary school.

If it’s flying Zaheer, I think he can take it reasonably easily (an earthbender is pretty gimped against a flying opponent). Kuvira beats him otherwise, six times out of ten.

Well, Nick does some good things occasionally. Their 2012 TMNT series was quite good, and a worthy TMNT installment.
 
Though, despite it’s fanbase, they kinda screwed over that show too, (barely airing reruns of it, making the continuity hard to follow) possibly on purpose, because they probably wanted to reboot it.
 
Apparently, the new reboot isn’t as popular ironically, and changed too many things. (Like making Raphael the leader, making Splinter a joke, having too many new villains/characters, and very few classic ones returning, and replacing their classic weapons.)  
^{I’m fine with April being black though. However, she’s a bit stereotypical at times.}

Oddly, sense Leonardo is no longer the leader, (giving that role to bulky “Sonic Boom Knuckles” Raphael instead) they instead gave him the old snarky/sarcastic 1987-1996 Raphael personality.

Actually, I’ve seen more praise for Rise on social media, especially on Twitter.
 
The action scenes I’ve been shown are dynamic and fluid. The show is a lot more faithful to the source material, but detractors dwell too much on surface details. I’ve heard about Splinter being a joke, but the show hammers in there’s a lot more to the rat.
 
So, like Brave and the Bold, it’s a lighter show but still valid.
 
It’s kind of sad Nick hasn’t treated the show as well despite owning the franchise now.

Yeah, admittedly I haven’t seen alot of it, so I kinda want to give it a chance. especially sense I prefer 2D animation, and they are finally bringing back the Shredder. Though, this time he’s going to be more like the Tengu demon Shredder from the 2003 series. (Said 2003 series has had 3 different Shredders, if you include Karai.)
