Tis Disney and they hate character that are gay and are not part of a household name. They will grandstand on it though.

and I can think of a few reason.One being if it becomes common for a gay character to be in a show, then they wouldn’t be able to grandstand as people would become numb to as it would be seen as another couple in a film and there wouldn’t be any clash over. Heck you and Angry would go meh and meh doesn’t cut money from pouring into ads.

I’m the one person who saw plenty of promotion for Strange World. It was all over YouTube, I’d see promos and concept art stuff on twitter, I even saw an ad on tv, and my local paper ran an ad for it.
I guess they decided to target a guy who doesn’t really care about Disney for some reason.

Just Imagine the horror:

A world will corporations don’t shout “GAY” at an inevitable bomb for useful idiots to take of that rainbow shield.
Have characters measured by virtue of their character rather then their skin-deep tropes of sexuality and skin pigmentation?! Perish the thought! They’d be useless! And without that dopamine hit all those that need them would actually have to… GASP!!! Find a hobby or be productive and develop a personality!!

Let’s hope that never happens.

Or as angry said this has less to do with whatever “Grandstanding” you are going on about and more that Disney doesn’t have the guts to give a film featuring a gay main character the same level as marketing/advertising as the rest of their movies.

no. i’m literally hearing about this movie from this thread.

I only ever heard of the movie via ads on Twitter and YouTube. It wasn’t until like a month ago before I saw them actually advertise it on TV, and it wasn’t even on a network that most of the movies target audience would regularly watch.
