There is always such a giant canyon between christians in the US and in my country. Majority of people here are christians and all my life i only met one single lunatic of which i had the joy of working with, because most people here just are out of tradition, not because they have a strong believe. Meanwhile in the US there seems to be this flood of crazy christians.

Overall this always lead to these puzzling moments in my youth where shows and movies made fun of christians and i never understood why until later when i found all these crazy christians on the internets.

This scene gets me every time.

Context: The Simpsons (S02E02, Simpson and Delilah); Homer has lost all his hair and is subsequently demoted to his normal job, and he worries that he won’t be able to afford to buy all the things his kids ask for and he’s afraid Marge will find him ugly because he’s bald again. Marge assures him by telling him his old job will still put food on the table, the kids will get over not having as many material goods as everyone else, and comforts him by singing “You Are So Beautiful”.

I’m a christian, and I’ve defended “Turning Red” before. Does that count for something? Don’t assume we’re all like that Soccer-Dad review.
And yes, I’ve seen atheists who don’t care for the movie, not every “critic” is religious, if you look on Twitter, Youtube, or whatever.

In fact, I see many badmouth the movie for it’s 3D “beanmouth” style, rather then religious issues.

And honestly, I see crazy people of every religion or non-religion frankly, but I see cool ones too, so I don’t like to paint religious/atheists with a broad brush.

Indeed, it’s not very fair IMO.

Alot of christians aren’t as bad as people think, in fact many of them think stuff like Ned Flanders is funny, and a good sport about him.

Though, maybe we should get off the subject of religion soon, as that doesn’t go well.

I know not every Christian is like that; I was just using him as an example also I was kinda hoping for a link to a least one atheist bashing it because I’m curious.

I like to think that Homer’s dumbass attitude in later seasons is secretly his way of coping with his own insecurities and less on Flanderization. A “sad clown”, if you will.

Still in the middle of watching Final Space and I’m about to finish Season 2 again. Haven’t seen Season 3, but I’m still pissed that it got cancelled early, I would’ve loved it if it got more episodes.

So Peter Pan will be a villain in the Chip and Dale movie as a fat, middle-aged, drunken has-been.

Actually it’s NOT Peter Pan.It’s some dude named Mean Dean, who is one of the antagonists in the film, dressed up as him. The subtitles say his name is Mean Dean, and it’s mentioned the titular duo have to deal with him in the press releases

The assumption that their referencing Bobby Driscoll is such a huge reach and I didn’t even know that happened to the late actor.

I’d be more open to that, if not for one of his last projects.

I’d still prefer a new Drawn Together movie over the meta Rescue Rangers movie that seems to just focus on Chip and Dale and not the Rescue Rangers.

It seems more like an homage/parody then a legit “Rescue Rangers” movie. Only way we would get a legit one is if they reboot the series, and some don’t want that.
