OMG, IT’S ALL COMING TOGETHER!!! This crazy comparison I’ve just thought in my head:

Khamzat Chimaev = Ivan Drago
Nate Diaz = Apollo Creed
Leon Edwards = Rocky Balboa

Should Khamzat kill Diaz next month, then he should definitely fight “Rocky” for the title but i know it aint gonna happen in reality. Usman is defo gunna demand a rematch against him and Chimaev needs to at least plow through one more high rankers like Covington.

I’ve just processed enough sense to let it sink in what fucking happened to the main event. Kamaru Usman is the last person I’d know to get knocked out. I know he’s a badass dude, already proved from all his highlights. But the head kick has to be one of the most perfectly executed and calculated move ever. How this goes is he flicked out a right jab, Usman attempts to dodge it while exposing his head on his right side, and that’s how Edwards fired up a super perfect left head kick that took Usman out. Also, this fight has scored so many firsts along the way. Edwards is the first guy to takedown, the first guy to almost submit, and knocked out Usman. He also took away Usman’s chance to tie Anderson Silva’s UFC win streak. Usman was also prettily arrogant the whole fight because he refused to touch gloves with Edwards, and faked an eye poke and low blow. Yeahhhh karma has prettily gotten much on him.

Welp, so much for the Chimaev vs. Champ Usman… They’ll probably fight. Maybe whoever wins gets the title shot.
