Ok…hold the phone, she was fucking recrutable, how in the heck I was supposed to know that? I only just found out after glancing under Henry’swiki page! Welp, it’s too freaking late now…
@The Equestrian Zodiac
I assume you’re talking about Tharja. FE has a theme of recruitable units having special dialogue and portraits to help the player figure out that they’re recruitable. Tharja is a stalker, so it’s not all bad, though you’re missing out on the character she recruits.
@The Equestrian Zodiac
You likely didn’t realized that dark mage is a normal class and didn’t think of it at the time. Did you recruit Gaius, another enemy-unit that you can recruit?
@Meanlucario
I had a feeling they were, since I noticed dark spells were being sold, as it wouldn’t make sense for those to be there if you couldn’t recruit someone who could use them.
@Meanlucario
Yeah, though in my defense, I hadn’t played Awakening in a while due to getting sidetracked with anime and other games, so I ended up forgetting.
@The Equestrian Zodiac It’s whoever you have Chrom have a S-Support with. It’s the second game with children characters. Every female with a non-Avatar S-rank has a child unit. They also inherit the last skill their parents’ have equipped, so if you want to grind for the children to have skills they wouldn’t have otherwise, well, there you go.
@Meanlucario Thing is, I don’t think I ever even had her and Chrom at S rank by the time ch 13 came around. I also just noiced I missed another recuitable character, Libra.
@Meanlucario
|| Technically, if Chrom doesn’t have an S-support by the time that chapter rolls around, then the game will automatically pair him up with whoever has the highest support level between female Robin, Sumia, Sully, Maribelle, or Olivia. If, improbably, he doesn’t have a support level with any of them, the game will pair him with the generic village maiden.||

Replaying something after gaining an understanding of it is fun, especially when new stuff are unlocked or you missed something beforehand.
