Depending on what direction they want to go for, this could end up a disaster.

HOWEVER. Imma say this: If this just happens to be Pirates of the Carribean but with One Piece characters, I’d be alright with it.

Man, I don’t even like regular one piece.

Imagine they pronounce Zoro’s name Zolo 4kids style.

Look at all the animes that came out in Fall 2008.

Toradora, Clannad: After Story, Black Butler, A Certain Magical Index, Rosario + Vampire Capu2, ChäoS;HEAd, Casshern Sins.

Coupled with the fact there were continuations of Naruto: Shippuden, One Piece, Bleach, Soul Eater, and Gintama, there were so many good, high quality shows in the Fall of 2008. And yes, I’m including Rosario + Vampire when I say high in quality.

after watching 4 seasons of slayers i can now say that anime female leads peaked with lina inverse.

It’s funny in a cosmic way.

Goblin Slayer kinda blows.

It wants so badly to be The Boys, Attack on Titan, or Warhammer. But all those actually acknowledge the fact the heros are fucked up and do something with it. Instead its a generic mid isekai without the isekai that never gets past its 2edgy4u parts and wont stop sucking its main characters dick…kinda reminds me of that Velma show in that way.

Vinland Saga and Spy X Family are pretty good though.

Succinctly put.
I’d take Guts from Berserk and The Mandalorian over Goblin Slayer any day of the week–the show and the main character.

Just like Sword Art Online, the Abridged Series (by Grimmjack of the Schmuck Squad) is actually much better.

Grimmjack did The Seven Deadly Schmucks. Sword Art Online Abridged is by Something Witty Entertainment. both are very funny btw & yeah, also better, particularly SAO.
i’ll also add Team Four Star’s Dragon Ball Z Abridged is better than the original (despite not having watched it lol)

It seems as if everyone except Japan loves Chainsaw Man. It’s kinda weird.

Looking up online through 3rd party sources (like, Youtubers and Google Translate) you’d see the criticism mostly comes from their expectations.

You see–Chainsaw Man anime is directed like a movie would. Why? Because…Fujimoto loves cinema, so I guess Mappa decided to pay tribute to that.

But some fans expected an anime adaptation, not a live-action-but-CGI.

For some reason anime in some part is okay, but RE Village, there are scenes where the MC’s hand doesn’t get sliced off. It’s sort of weird how they work over there. 7 also had it toned down and Calista Protocol wasn’t allowed to be released unless they censored it, which the dev team did not.

Anime I guess being more cartoony can get away with it - but, I have notice Some things, like purple blood for demons which can be be used as “Oh they’re demons” Dragon Ball even seems a lot less bloodier. Compare the 80’s DBZ with the modern. There looks to be a lot less blood despite the damage taken. Deku breaks his arms all the time, but the arm is only purple. You’d think a bone would pop out at least once. I don’t know when this tonal shift occurred, but there is definitely has been one to some degree.

People will just say you’re wrong, because they don’t do any research into topic and just spout off to look down on other - but if you look. There’s something up with how they view violence.

Forgot Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged is somehow still better than original.

i had that in mind when writing the post but wasn’t 100% sure if it was but i think you’re right about that too.
