People cross the railroad tracks illegally there to get to the beach (which has resulted in 65 deaths in the last 5 years), and the railroad is finally putting up a fence to stop it, which residents don't like.
> One lawsuit facing the district now involves a young man killed several years ago while attempting to take a “selfie” photo on the tracks, district Executive Director Matt Tucker said. Attorneys allege the district contributed to the accident because it did too little to prevent trespassing.
And yet they're pissed over the railroad putting up a fence. Including because it will ruin their view. If those self entitled pricks don't want it, then they need to have congress change trespassing laws so if you get injured or killed while trespassing on RR property, neither you or your family can sue because it's all your fault.
Or they can fork over the cash to have pedestrian bridges or tunnels put in.
