Due to my past experiences with my “spirituality”, I grew pretty much tolerant to people. Sometimes believing in something silly can be reassuring against a world that simply doesn’t care.
I have something I can channel my ideals onto which can help me to remember who I want to be instead who I am now.
Of course I really couldn’t find that from normal religion, but it would have been cool.

Good old Sargon of Akkad he sure is chill.
The cowboy hat guy is kind of cute but by his logic the current state of events should have never occurred due to “god fearing people” being too good as leaders, therefore “atheists” would have never got into positions of powers.
Arrogance is the top sin that made me negative about Abrahamic faith in general.

“Whaa, that’s dehumanizing.” Spare me your humanist piety Rousseau! To be man is to be flawed. You are not in chains by some external apparatus, but by the inherent flaws within your own heart.
@Whatevs
Well mainstream religion in the west is just a tool of the establishment.
I think this rule applies everywhere pretty much in this world. You can be thankful most of the west isn’t a theocracy places such as Iran and Saudi Arabia are. But yeah, religious influence in politics is toxic even in the west.
People have the right to believe. But to force a belief on others crosses the line. Which is what unfortunately often happens or sort of happens when religion is mix with politics.
