How I Saved Everyone with a Mirror
 
Context: Our friend was currently getting their soul sucked out by Grandmage Granderfault a Bodak, who was flanked by four ghosts; the Bodak used its gaze on our party, and my monk and another character failed the con save, and their HP was reduced to 0
 
Me: (OOC, after having a first, stupid idea): I HAVE ANOTHER IDEA! Is Granderfault immune to his own soul-stealing gaze?
 
DM: (OOC) It doesn’t actually say, and he isn’t immune to the gaze’s damage.
 
My monk was wearing a Robe of Useful Items, a robe with patches shaped like various items that, when pulled off, become real; I had my fighter run over to him during his turn, and rip off a mirror patch
 
Fighter: HEY! GRANDMAGE UGLY!
 
DM: Roll persuasion
 
(Nat 20)
 
DM: Granderfault instantly turns to look at you, glaring down at the mirror instead
 
DM: (OOC) And for your Nat 20, he rolls with disadvantage
 
(Granderfault rolls a 1d20+2, gets a 5)
 
DM: (OOC) You just killed him.
 
DM: The party watches as the Bodak’s soul is ripped from its own being, the other ghost scream in agony as they dissolve and a staff drops to the ground.

If they want to DM and knows how to, that’s usually good enough. People can even take turns DMing if more than one person wants to, either the same campaign or each their own.

Screw those people. If you like it, like it. As long as you can acknowledge its flaws and enjoy it for what it is, than don’t feel shameful for liking a movie. TLJ gets way too much hate, and people act like it’s raping their childhood when it’s just a different interpretation of how a character’s life plays after they have reached their peak in the movie. It’s a more pessimistic interpretation, but still faithful since Luke is emotional, which is what caused him to save his father, and like him, the same emotions lead to his ruin and final act of heroism.

I’m craving sharp cheddar.
