Personally, none of that compares to the stop-motion girl from “Courage in the Big Stinkin’ City.”(Well, that and the title card for “The Mask.” I was a weird kid.)
That girl made me laugh. The Mask was an interesting episode
The moon was also funny, especially when him and Muriel were insulting Eustace

Oh yeah, is that the only time a cartoon has a jumpscare?

I did my best!
Eustace being flung into the distance while he says “No, sir. Not getting out of this chair” kills me.

Specifically the title card. Like I said, a lot of weird stuff freaked me out when I was little (my old baby pictures used to scare the shit outta me up until I was 9).

I also think the Mask was my first exposure to LGBTQ+ representation in general as well. Yes, even as a kid, I knew Kitty and Bunny had the hots for each other.

I accidentally scarred me by imagining that Godzilla was reaching out to get me and it was very lucid.
My first exposure to the lesbians relationship as well.

Things that freaked me out as a kid:
Things that freaked me out as a kid:
- The opening titles to You Can’t Do That on Television
- A Diet Coke ad with Boomer Esiason and other NFL players melting
- The video games Dragon’s Lair and Time Traveler
Probably more, but those are the ones I remember.

A few other things that scared me as a child:
-The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
-The cover art for The Wrath of Cortex
-This one scene from a movie (can’t remember the name of it) where a woman is slowly stabbed in the throat
-The main menu of an old SpongeBob DVD I had
-Watership Down
-Scrolling to the bottom of certain websites (again, weird things to freak out over)

As a kid I was scared of the spiders in Jumanji and that scene in The Pagemaster where the painting drips down from the ceiling of the library and becomes like a liquid dragon that chases Macaulay Culkin.

This is gonna be funny, but Venom from Spiderman 3 scared me as a kid.

What scared me the most as a kid was the title card for the Adventure Time episode “Freak City”. It’s like why? Why make that one eyed thing so goddamn freaky? It’s “Freak City”, not “Nightmare Fuel City”, you dolts…

What’s your offer?
Didn’t really scare me, but that part was thrilling
Yeah, the paint scene and Mr. Hyde were something in Pagemaster
