I think that was the best turkey I’ve ever had. Perfectly juicy with a nice smoke flavor. You have to take the time to brine turkey. It makes a big difference.

Can someone explain me what is Thanksgiving and why people is eating large amounts of meat on this particular day?

To keep it short: Basically, it’s a holiday centered around gratitude that has it’s roots in the early colonization of America. The first Thanksgiving was celebrated with a huge gathering and a banquet to match.

There’s more to it, of course, but I’m winding down after my own feast
