Another day, another black murdered by cops. Warning for graphic photos and video.

Recently released footage shows the murder of Ronald Greene after he led police on a high speed chase.

Louisiana state troopers were captured on body camera video stunning, punching and dragging a Black man as he apologized for leading them on a high-speed chase — footage of the man’s last moments alive that The Associated Press obtained after authorities refused to release it for two years.

“I’m your brother! I’m scared! I’m scared!” Ronald Greene can be heard telling the white troopers as the unarmed man is jolted repeatedly with a stun gun before he even gets out of his car along a dark, rural road.

The 2019 arrest outside Monroe, Louisiana, is the subject of a federal civil rights investigation. But unlike other in-custody deaths across the nation where body camera video was released almost immediately, Greene’s case has been shrouded in secrecy and accusations of a cover-up.

The 46-minute clip shows one trooper wrestling Greene to the ground, putting him in a chokehold and punching him in the face while another can be heard calling him a “stupid motherf—-—.”

Greene wails “I’m sorry!” as another trooper delivers another stun gun shock to his backside and warns, “Look, you’re going to get it again if you don’t put your f— hands behind your back!” Another trooper can be seen briefly dragging the man facedown after his legs had been shackled and his hands cuffed behind him.

Instead of rendering aid, the troopers leave the heavyset man unattended, facedown and moaning for more than nine minutes, as they use sanitizer wipes to wash blood off their hands and faces.

“I hope this guy ain’t got f——— AIDS,” one of the troopers can be heard saying.

After a several-minute stretch in which Greene is not seen on camera, he appears again, limp, unresponsive and bleeding from his head and face. He is then loaded onto an ambulance gurney, his arm cuffed to the bedrail.

In many parts of the video, Greene is not on screen, and the trooper appears to cut the microphone off about halfway through, making it difficult to piece together exactly what was happening at all times. At least six troopers were on the scene of the arrest but not all had their body cameras on.

State Police brass initially argued the troopers’ use of force was justified — “awful but lawful,” as ranking officials described it — and did not open an administrative investigation until 474 days after Greene’s death.

Hollingsworth shocks Greene with a stun gun within seconds through the driver’s side window as both troopers demand he get out of the vehicle.

Greene exits through the passenger side as the troopers wrestle him to the ground. One trooper can be heard saying “He’s grabbing me” as they try to handcuff him. “Put your hands behind your back, bitch,” one trooper says.

At one point, Trooper Kory York yanks Greene’s leg shackles and briefly drags the man on his stomach even though he isn’t resisting.

York was suspended without pay for 50 hours for the dragging and for improperly deactivating his body camera. York told investigators the device was beeping loudly and his “mind was on other things.”

Hollingsworth, in a separate recording obtained by AP, can be heard telling a colleague at the office that “he beat the ever-living f—- out of” Greene.

It took 2 years for this footage to be released. It only happened because the family of the victim kept pushing for the investigation. And thanks to that we found out that the cops basically beat and mauled a man to death for nearly an hour. And what was the initially stated cause of death? What was the official story presented for this incident?

That Greene "Died on impact after crashing into a tree."

Were are the good apples?

How to report "both sides" according to BBC
"212 people including 61 children have DIED in Gaza"
"12 people have been KILLED in Israel"
this is like that really subtle dumb subconscious little things that eventually shape the view of an event.

How did the gazans die? covid? accidents? natural disasters? suffocation under rubble? crushed to death by falling concrete?
Israelis on the other hand were killed, so your question becomes "who killed them and why"?

The former tries to as much as possible remove culpability from the killer by making a generic statement. The latter ensures it's a matter of homicide. Very shrewd, albeit fucked up. "Both sides", apparently.

Governments are nothing but nuisances….

You're gonna need to expand on that, because you're not giving us a lot to work with here: do you mean to state that your views towards governmental authority in general are leaning on the skeptical side, like the neoliberals and libertarians, or are you merely expressing frustration against one particular government for an unmentioned reason?

My guess? the good apples weren't told. Even if they was, them's good apples, see? their good nature inherently makes them trust the institution that serves and protect. Them's good nature give everybody the benefit of the doubt.

What you need ain't good apples. What you need have to have everybody told and take into heart this hadith:

"Help your brothers / comrades / coworkers / what have you, be they oppressed or oppressors."
"What do you mean by helping an oppressor?"
"By stopping them from oppressing."

Oh. It's okay, Flutterbro does that. He's venting out his frustrations in bite-size generic wisdom-bits that everybody more or less think are axiomatic.

China is evil. Government is a nuisance. Religion is oppression. Orange Man Bad. Wokeness is a cancer. Socialism doesn't work. BLM is racist.

Edit: I have nothing against him tho, I actually like his art. It's just an observation I've made from his posts. I'm not sure if he even wants a discussion.

That's pretty much the problem I have with it: while that kind of venting isn't as annoying as NeonThriller's perpetual bouts of mindless panicking — which I don't miss at all since he's been booted from this thread —, if he's not interested in starting a discussion, Twitter would work just as well for the same purpose.

Oh god this hurts. I thought I'd be desensitized but holy crap this hurts.

What especially heartbreaking is the soon to be husband who, if you're not muslim would see him to be in absolute denial. That is some major grief, holy crap.

Unemployment rate in gaza is at 50% and above. The number of medical professional working in Gaza are relatively low. And now they just lost a promising young medical professional.

Eugh. That's gotta sting.

KILLED. Stray bullets, misfires, collateral damage, or whatever have you. Them Gazans were KILLED. By Hamas or Israel.

Saying they "died" like the got struck by an earthquake or a plague is disingenuous.

In the latest "Patriotism" news, Ted Cruz follows in daddy Trump's footsteps both by launching his presidential run by attacking the US military as 'emasculated' while simping for Russian manliness.

This really is the Republican party now. The uber patriots who hates America but squees over Russia.

Gotta say though I love the cut of this article's jib. The man really just does not hold back on pointing out how sad and pathetic Cruz is.

Ted Cruz wants to be president. Badly. So badly, in fact, that he's willing to mock the US military to own the libs. Or something.

Is Cruz's problem that she is a woman? Or that she has two mothers? Or that the ad was animated? (The Army released five similar ads in recent weeks, telling the stories of five people who joined up. All are animated.)

What exactly is "emasculated" about Malonelord or her story? If you take the dictionary definition of the word, what is "made weaker or less effective" by Malonelord being in the Army?

And, while we're at it: When did it become OK for a sitting US senator — and a Republican, no less! — to mock an active member of the military? Aren't politicians like Cruz always telling us that our troops are the bravest among us? How does Malonelord being a woman or having two moms change that?

Cruz is attempting to do just that. Never mind that his attack makes no sense — how is a valedictorian joining the Army something bad or weak? The point is that Cruz is anti-woke — and pro-strength. I think.

All of which means Cruz will get the affirmation he desperately wants from the Trump base that he desperately needs for his political ambitions. That he will achieve that goal by attacking an active-duty soldier for being a woman or having two moms or appearing in an animated ad — or maybe all three — speaks to the depths that some people will go to in order to own the libs.
