For one, I’m pretty sure just handing a nuke to another non-NATO member country goes against several non-proliferation treaties.
Moreover, the strategic and tactical utility of such a move would be next to nil (nukes work as a deterrent, giving one to a country already being invaded, unless they intend to use it — which would then constitute an unacceptable escalation on top of being overkill —, would only provide more grist for the Russian propaganda mill accusing the West of wanting the war to go nuclear).

The hilarious part is that, until Ukraine, everything was going in Russia’s favor.

NATO was atrophing, gas prices were up, Europe was too intimidated by the spector of gas shortages and the vaunted Russian military to actually oppose them, Russia and China were growing closer in relations, and the US was too busy with its own problems to focus on the national stage.

They would have been better served by literally doing nothing.

Because wasn’t obvious enough that the witch hunts were fueled by incel energy already. Fun Fact, the book that really drove the witch hunt (who’s name I can’t recall) was written by a man who even the church he was from said was a creep not fit to work for them after he obsessed over women not liking him for many reasons (even took them to court in hopes the judge would side with him, which said judge didn’t).
