In more “We live in the Onion timeline” news, GOP House Rep Debbie “Peacemaker” Lesko loves her grandchildren a lot. She also loves the world where her grandchildren can go to school and be shot.
So just yesterday she made a speech where she said she opposed gun regulation so much that she said she would shoot her own grandchildren if it meant protecting them from gun safety laws.
She’s now trying to say she misspoke of course but no. We all know a member of the MAGA Death Cult would 100% shoot her own grandchildren if it meant sparing them from living in a world where their chances of being shot at school goes down even a little bit.

I love how Moscow Mitch blamed the 1400 stimulus for the on-going hiring problem. Saying families were “flush with cash” and would eventually return to the labor market when they run out of funds.
Companies that pay well and have good benefits are having no problems attracting and retaining talent.
And money that either dried up or was saved months and months ago has 0 baring on what is happening now.
Republicans are horribly out of touch with reality.

Holy cow… i don’t think the person is wrong for saying that people that have a big need to work to survive work harder, but the goal of a society should never be to exploit people like that.
On another issue, i am always amazed how many people come out of the woodwork to call for gun rights
Whenever a post like this appears, there is a slew of gun right advocates who wanna argue that more guns would have prevented this. I personally think the general hands off policy many companies have to this kind of behavior is bullshit and people should actively defend their stuff, but people calling to gun down people are crazy.
A good slap’n’whack and kick people like that out (though i realize there is no out in this specific scenario), but don’t just take it.
