Well yeah, because they hurt his fashy feelings. Also, by taking over the board of their concession like he’s done at hospitals and universities, he can gain leverage over them. Walt Disney World is one of the megacorp’s crown jewels, and he can threaten it by fucking with things like taxes and regulations with the county-level control should the corporation keep being too “woke” for his liking, even if they don’t do it in Florida.

People who want to visit these websites will have to install an application for government-licensed digital certification on their mobile phones to prove that they are at least 18 years old. Sites which do not comply will risk being banned from publishing in France.
The UK tried to do a porn ban of their own a few years back. They only backpedaled because it was pointed out that VPN could get you through easily, so then they tried to ban VPNs.
Then every business in the country collectively screamed (because VPNs have business applications as well, even banking) and told them to stop.
That was the last we’ve heard of it since, but it’ll probably crop up again in future by some old farts who don’t know how the internet works.
I can’t wait for the Great Replacement of old farts in government.

So yeah. Yesterday McCarthy was out for personal reasons and Qaren got to be Speaker Pro Tempore (Speaker for the day). And just today McCarthy said that his Republicans won’t engage in “childish games” for the SOTU address…like 5 minutes before news dropped about Qaren playing with a balloon.
You know, on some level I love this. Even after suffering a historic, humiliating, and historically humiliating 15 votes Kevin McCarthy still isn’t actually Speaker of the House. They just let him play with the gavel, let him take photos with a cheap faceplate, and give him a few headpats while calling him “Champ” or “Sport”. But on every other level it disturbs me knowing that the “Jewish Space Laser” lady is the actual of one whole third of the government.
