I mean, I really don’t know at this point. Bernie would utterly humiliate Trump in a debate, probably in campaigning as well. But between Trump fostering such a cult of personality around him, and the GOP having willingly positioned him as their centerpiece so much that the Republican party are more like the Party of Trump at this point, it’s very possible that Trump can squeeze another EC win simply because how hard baked the Two Party System is ingrained into American politics.

He knows how to speak 15 different words in a 20 word sentence. That’s one thing he has over Trump.
 
Oh an he can speak a sentence in 20 words or less, yet at the same time longer than 4 word slogans. That’s 2 or 3 things over Trump.

Woke up this morning and found out the Notre Dame cathedral burned down. Almost a milllenia of history gone in minutes and a powerful symbol of a faith I cherished almost my whole life, decimated. what a great start to holy week.

Fun fact: The Notre Dame and places of historical significance are restored on a regular basis. The fire doesn’t change anything and anyone who believes it remained 100% intact since its initial construction needs to learn this.

Just being pragmatic. It may have been a 600 year old roof but in the history of documenting the cathedral it’s not like it could be rebuilt. Unlike perhaps the statues on the spire that had been removed prior because of the spire’s rennovation along with the other artifacts that are less replaceable than a tar-soaked roof.
 
It’s not unusual for Notre-Dame to be under construction. It’s always being rebuilt. It’s not a total loss like the Walled City of Benin or the summer palace of the Qing Emperors. Or old Rotterdam after WW2.
 
Not like now it’ll give enthusiasts a chance to come back together to rebuild it the old way the same way a same group of French Craftsmen are building a castle the way they made them once upon a time.
