Even a broken clock is right twice a day I guess.
Not really, if he’s going to ignore the fact that the previous Democratic administration had opened numerous investigations into police departments with the intention of addressing such possible issues, and the current Republican one decided right out of the gate that they would not be pursuing such investigations or doing basically anything to stand in the way of the police. It also ignores years of rightward drift among the ranks of the officers themselves that might have kept any number of these issues from ever rising to a level where it could be acted upon by the people “running the cities”.

Is it? GG led to Trump beeing elected since it morphed into the alt right that made Trump “cool”. Brought out many basement dwellers and gave Trump the percentage needed to win the election. And the rest is history now. All because ZQ could not keep her affairs in order. Like a big old domino set falling this…

Do you realise Trump lost the popular vote by three million votes and only won because the electoral college says so or has the Kool-aid gotten to your brain?

This. Yes, the media painted MLK’s actions as a violent riot but it was not. Everyone knew it was not. MLK himself was against riots and before someone quotes that one sentence about how “Riots are the voice of the unheard” he once said, do yourself a favor and learn the context behind it before I slap you in the head for misusing quotes.

Ever since I took a short break, it seems that new faces and old both resurfaced here in the politics thread, all of which conservative.

Disgusting.

We whitewash the hell out of any revolutionaries. MLK was the carrot to Malcolm X’s stick and both died violently. After MLK was killed we had riots across this country. Those riots led to the signing of the Civil Rights act. Suffragettes led arson and bombing campaigns to get women the right to vote in England. Gay and transgender individuals rioted at Stonewall and it started to shift the dialogue. Hell, the threats of unrest from unionist, communist and socialist groups pushed FDR towards the New Deal. For how often people say that riots don’t work they’re discounting how integral they’ve been in pushing progress throughout history. Of course riots get snuffed out and powerful forces push back but power often exposes themselves in those moments, just as it’s doing right now.

“During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it.”

It’s worth bringing up some of the Japanese background context behind MGS2:
In some ways, Japanese online culture was nearly a decade ahead of Western online culture. After all, it was the Japanese site 2chan that gave birth to its Western offspring 4chan, which in turn played a big role in shaping Western online culture. Much like its later 4chan offspring in the mid-late 2000s, 2chan in the late ’90s was a site for “Otakus” (into games, anime and manga) that became notorious for “junk data” such as trolling and memes, long before the term “internet meme” was coined.
So it’s not like Kojima came up with his ideas out of the blue, but some of his ideas were a reaction to Japanese “Otaku” sites like 2chan in the late ‘90s. While 2chan was dismissed as some niche “Otaku” thing in Japan, Kojima took it seriously, and realized that all this trite “junk data” accumulating on Otaku sites like 2chan could represent the future of the world, and he was examining the potential impact and issues that could arise from it. He was able to connect the dots, and make a prediction on how the future of the world could turn out. Over time, Kojima’s predictions have been vindicated, as we come closer to the future he was envisioning back in the late ’90s (when he wrote MGS2).
After looking more into it, I’ve found 2chan’s predecessor to be a similar anonymous board called Ayashi World, which was founded a few years earlier. According to some Japanese sources (there are hardly any English sources on it), Ayashi World was controversial in the ‘90s, such as sharing an indie game making fun of the 1995 Tokyo terror attack (carried out by Buddhist terrorists). Ayashi World closed down in 1998, apparently after the site’s owner got death threats from users complaining about down-time (sounds like something 4chan trolls might do), which led to the creation of 2chan in 1999. In other words, it wasn’t 2chan that influenced Kojima’s ideas (since his script predates it), but possibly its lesser-known predecessor Ayashi World.

Don’t lose yourself in a debate and argue overmeaningless shit. Focus on the points that matter. WE whites should have the right to segregate ourself from the and preserve our heritage. Just as any other people has. It was actually one of David Duke’s videos and the anti- racist Hitler videeo that turned me into a nationalist. While David Duke sometimes can sound as a broken record, he always talks about the main issue. Our survival. The fact that we are going towards white genocide and we don’t want that and therefore we have the right to resist.

It is strange that Trump is able to get up a fortified fence in one day yet our infrastructure has been rusting and falling a part for decades. That that states have to bargain for protective gear. That fence is proof that Trump and the GOP only care about America when they feel threatened.

By the way, whoever it was that called for white police for white communities and black police for black communities?

Didn’t realised Jim Crow taught you in the ways of segregation.

I said perhaps black communities would be better off beeing having black police men. White police in these areas dont seem to work well. As an experiment it would be fascinating. In the real world I doubt it is in any way possible.

The reason why African American communities have a distrust of the police is because of years of being ether harassed or ignored by police. People don’t really get how bad the police treated the African American community going back a century. If you want real change you are going to have to change how the police department interacts with the African American and other communities no more stop and frisk, no more double standards. Treat everyone equally under the law.
