Given the uncertainty inherent in that election–in any election–those numbers are meaningless.

Trump calls a journalist being shot by police both ‘a beautiful thing’ and ‘Law and Order’.
 
Just when we think Donald Trump can’t get crueler, more authoritarian, or more vindictive, he plummets to new depths. During a campaign rally in Minnesota, the president discussed MSNBC host Ali Velshi getting shot in the knee with a rubber bullet by the police during the George Floyd riots in May. Trump mocked Velshi and crowed, “It was the most beautiful thing … it’s called law and order,” to his crowd of cheering sycophants. In any other universe, a president mocking a wounded journalist would be an international scandal. In Trump world, it’s just another Saturday.
Trump gloated, “I remember this guy Velshi, … He got hit in the knee with a canister of tear gas and he went down. He was down. ‘My knee, my knee.’ Nobody cared, these guys didn’t care, they moved him aside.” He continued, “And they just walked right through. It was the most beautiful thing, … No, because after we take all that crap for weeks and weeks, and you finally see men get up there and go right through them, wasn’t it really a beautiful sight? It’s called law and order.”
 
I mean we all already knew “Law and Order” was just a dogwhistle for endorsing police brutality, but thanks Trump. As always you’re too dumb to keep the quiet part quiet.

Romney’s backed the nomination, so it looks to be going through.
Technically he only committed to voting, since Trump’s next terrible, backwards thinking partisan hack has not been selected yet. Unfortunately voting is enough, since it means the Republicans will almost certainly get whomever it ends up being through the process. Because apparently “too close to the election” only counts when it’s a Democratic nominee.

I wish I could still find a study I read once that talked about how little dumping money into an election influenced its outcome. And let’s be honest, in the case of 2016, the far bigger influence ended up being people’s dislike and rumor-fueled distrust of Hillary. She still probably could have won by a thin margin, but that last minute announcement by James Comey on top of everything was more than enough to drop her in the polls at a critical moment and ultimately sink the objectively better candidate’s campaign.

Actually I’d say he managed to get two in this one. Endorsing police brutality and attacking the press, since the person he’s mocking is a journalist.

He paid away fines they owed over non-violent drug possession charges (ie. having too much weed on them) after the Florida GOP made it illegal for anyone with outstanding fines to vote. They can all still vote for whoever they want.

Can’t connect to the link right now, but AFAIK if he stipulated that they must vote one way in order to get their fines paid then yes that is 100% illegal. If it’s done more like a ‘There you can vote. Now, about that favor you now owe me…’ then it’s also illegal. If it’s coy ‘You can vote now. But before you do, remember who was stopping you in the first place’ then that’s inarguably skeevy and underhanded, but I don’t know if it’s illegal.

Fact check: here’s the video of Trump being clear enough on how to vote and make sure your vote was counted in.
«U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday encouraged those who cast votes by mail to cast two ballots in November’s election, one by mail and another in person as a check to see if the mailed vote was counted.»
Not a single instance he asks this, you are just inventing things.
 
He literally spends the first 24 seconds telling people to vote twice.
 
If you get the unsolicited ballots, send it in and go make sure it is counted. And if it doesn’t tabulate you vote! Just vote. And then if they tabulate it very late which they shouldn’t be doing they’ll see you voted so it won’t count. So send it in early, and then go and vote, and if it’s not tabulated you vote and the vote is going to counted.
 
And here he does it again, which I can’t tell if it’s from the same conference or from one the next day.
 
They’ll go out and vote and they’re gonna have to check that vote by going to the poll and checking that way because if it tabulates then they won’t be able to do that. So let them send it in, and let them go vote, and if their system is as good as they say it is then they won’t be able to vote.
 
The most generous interpretation is that he’s trying to force a stress test on election security. Which will still end in 1 of 2 results:
 
  1. The security is good and the double vote is caught. And since it’s a crime you get arrested.  
  2. The security is bad and the double vote isn’t caught. So you voted twice.
