I watched the "Pop'n Knowledge" edition of Beetlejuice on FreeForm last night, where captions would pop up to give knowledge of the movie's production, characters, etc. along with general commentary and snark (like blaming Barbara for not reading the freaking Handbook for the Recently Deceased). They even gave information about various insects in most of the title character's scenes (like how he suddenly wore Adam's clothes in their first meeting as a form of "camouflage").
Did you know that movie was originally a straight-up horror film rather than the horror-comedy? And the scene of Beetlejuice appearing as a giant snake had a different-looking puppet before Michael Keaton was signed on to play the title character, so they had to make a new puppet and re-shoot the entire sequence. And lastly, Beetlejuice's epilogue wasn't in the movie originally, but it was added when test audiences were sad that he "died" so now they know he's fine (just a little... light-headed, if you know what I mean).
