How long does it take to finish a Resident Evil game on average? (Im talking about just going through the game start to finish for the first time, not like going through replays for the extra stuff)
Because i heard that RE 8 is apparently 10 hours long for a normal playthrough and people are wondering if it’s too short for a modern single player game or if it’s the normal play time for a RE campaign

10 hours is actually pretty lengthy for an RE game.
The standard is usually 6-7 hours. I believe the longest one prior to Village was RE4 or 7.

In my experience:
The average stated time for a first playthrough for most of them is 10 hours. I do not understand how that is, since I can typically beat them around an average of like 5-7 while playing at a leisurely pace. But they can be speedrun in under 2 hours, in fact in-game challenges (for the ones that have those) even says you have to beat them in under 2 hours on hardest difficulty.
So yeah, use that as a frame of reference.

There’s only two other monsters that are mud focused, one is a dinosaur, the other is a fish.
You can figure it out, stop being a stick in the mud. There’s a dragon in there.

Ah well im not taking speed running or doing anything for any of the challenges.
It’s just picking up the game for the first time, and seeing how long it takes to go from the start of the story to the end of the story.
