Ah.

I’m continuing my journey in making the lives of the testificates in the local village on my Minecraft world a living hell.

Now, I’ve littered their town with oil derricks from Immersive Engineering.

I finally reached the halfway point for Tales of Arise. And now that I have, it changes the game’s opening. Interesting.

Every game that is interesting now just releases in a horrible buggy state or is years away from completion. So much for gaming this Christmas. I miss the days when games were playable on release…

I have played most games that interested me from that era. Nostalgia usually kicks me in the face when trying out older games, especially ones that have not been maintained and updated.

The best new game I’ve played this year is probably BDSP. Given the state it’s in, the industry, nay, the human race, is a tragedy.

Nintendo makes some good games still and I would have played some if they only were not locked in on their awful hardware.

Doom Eternal was really great and polished.

I haven’t actually played Metroid Dread yet, I’m saving it for Christmas.

One title requires a ton of hardware, the other is not really my thing. Steam even has a sale now and I just sit there and stare at it. Maybe it’s corona or maybe developers just got really shitty these last few years. 😑

Dude, branch out that. That’s why I’m playing BG. GOG has sales regularly, so wait for one of those and see what they are offering.

I’ve been playing Lost Odyssey, the JRPG for Xbox 360. I haven’t finished it yet, but I really like the art design and the music. Yeah, it’s still turn-based combat, but at least it has some cinematic shots to make it more epic instead of having a standard Final Fantasy camera.

I think the only problem I had with the game is the character Jansen. He talks and acts like a demo reel made by Chris Pratt for the Mario movie.

I agree. I don’t understand the complaint, especially when it runs perfectly games such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Breath of the Wild.

Besides, we got to a point in gaming where realistic graphics don’t matter at all. The PS4 can run The Last of Us 2, but how many games look like that game? There’s only 2 or 3: Uncharted 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 and the 2018 God of War.

Realism can be appropiate for some games, but the lack of next-gen graphics shouldn’t be a reason to say that Nintendo Switch can’t handle GTA V or RDR2. If games such as VA-11 Hall-A, Undertale and Enter the Gungeon can be enjoyable without needing incredible graphics, then it’s a complaint to a non-existing problem.

I dont think its the hardware that keeps people coming back, it’s the games. Low power and what they try to pass off as controllers on that thing? 😮

It’s the style of the game that matters most in the visual department. “Realistic” graphics tend to age worst that stylistic graphics.

No one in their right mind plays games for the hardware. We buy hardware for the games.
