Payment as in subscription? You can choose between an auto-renewal or 30-180 days. Payment can be done by credit/debit, game time cards, Steam or SE’s Crysta currency. There’s also two types of subs, entry and standard. Entry is 30 day payments only while standard offers discounts for the longer subs.

Any idea how that works with Steam?

It makes you add the funds to your Steam wallet and pays through that. You still start the process like normal through the FFXIV Mogstation (the site that handles all your account stuff), it just redirects to Steam for the wallet stuff.

I’ve beaten two bosses in the Cuphead DLC now, crackshot is incredibly OP.

At what point playing would I need the subscription? My cousin suggest we play FF14 together, and I want to know if I can buy and download now for if that day comes (assuming he was being serious).

Get the free trial first to see if you actually enjoy the game. Don’t spend money on something you may not end up liking. The trial covers the base game and first expansion, so you’ll still have plenty to do with it. If you do end up liking it and buy the full game, you get 30 days free and then after that, just renew the sub whenever.

I tried for a good three months to start the game, but each and every time I checked, every single server was full.

I already knew that going in, but the original games (and even the future trilogy) aren’t available on PS4, so this was the only real option open for me.

Fifth anniversary event in Fate: Grand Order has; in the less than 12 hours it’s been active, been an absolute boon to my servant leveling. I can see why the friends who got me into the game were looking forward to this.

Plus, got Castoria so that’s cool.

I’d be leery of buying expensive hardware from Ebay. That’s a great deal if it works out, though.

While browsing in the small hours of the morning, I learned that Best Buy was selling RTX 3070s for $500 and I immediately jumped on it. The 3070s were sold out online by the time I got there, however I was able to grab a 3070 Ti at MSRP.

Just learned Dead Cells got an assist mode. Finally I can actually play this 5 year old and game and make stale dank memes.

If I lose this auction, I’ll go that route. Even a 3070 would be a big upgrade from my 1080.

The 3070 is no slouch, you know. It should do well for gaming at 1440p.

Fable Anniversary was one of the games marked down thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, so I got it. Have to say, it’s a fun trip down memory lane, even if I was more fond of the second game. I also never played The Lost Chapters when I was younger, so I at least have something new to look forward to.

Ubisoft is planning on shutting down online capabilities for their older games. Which due to a quirk of their online services means customers lose their dlc for them.

Imagine that. That thing we all said was going to happen is happening.
