Who’s Bloober Team? I ask because right now, my Twitter feed consists of people shitting themselves in anger because they’ve been put in charge of the Silent Hill 2 remake.

A Polish game studio that mainly specializes in horror video games.

A lot of their games haven’t been well received by either critics or the public, so people are worried about a studio with a so-so track record of games is being put in charge of remaking one of the biggest horror games in the genre.

After Downpour and Homecomming, I think the franchise has enough stinkers where their game being OK shouldn’t be an issue (as long as you aren’t expecting Silent Hills to be resurrected or something like that).

So apparently the “Super Mario Bros.” movie is getting a first release in Germany next March, so I’ll be avoiding social media until mom and I catch it on the Tuesday after its US release.

Problem is Homecoming and Downpour were okay. But Silent Hill demands better than “okay” so people pounced on them anyway.

Their games always have good concepts, but poor execution.

My total play time in “Contra: Hard Corps” is currently 13 hours 45 minutes.

now that it’s been a couple weeks from launch I feel like so far Overwatch 2 is the best the game’s felt to play since at least 2018 or so at least in terms of balancing and game design, though it hasn’t really reached it’s full potential as a ‘sequel’ per se with PvE itself being delayed. would probably say Seagull’s video on it sums up my thoughts so far.

That’s the thing: I can’t figure it out.

I get a crash right before the title screen, then the launcher itself crashes, and I get a message of a rendering overlay error because it couldn’t load up the description of “dripping_blood.json” in biomes of plenty.

Naturally, after much shifting stuff around, I removed that, only for the same problem to somehow migrate to another mod, saying it can’t render an entirely different particle, which also never had that problem before.

I think i tried removing that, but hit a roadblock of some sort because they’re both right back in there, so I must have put everything back to say ‘I’ll deal with it later.’

Wish we were getting some Silent Hill in there though.

nah I don’t think you’re stupid. Video game development is a hard, long process especially for one person on their own. Personally I’ve thought about creating a video game on my own but I just don’t have the resources or outreach to do so.

…that and I’m lazy af lol
