Now I’m reminded of that video I saw recently that was a doom boss fight in delfino plaza with every game HUD ever.

Maybe they’re are setting things up for the post-GP players as well as PC players. There will be a lot of content to get for those ones and grabbing everything considering the mole of new contents… could be rough for newcomers. They also added the Golden Wumpa Fruit that basically grants you 200 extra coins every 5 races, so… yeah.
