About the DDoS attack on Derpibooru that's happening right now

Apparently, threre’s a DDoS attack going on currently.
 
I was several times denied access to the site within the past several minutes,  
and the site’s page itself had the words about the site experiencing a DDoS attack.  
I also had to solve a captcha, which never happened to me before.
 
What are your thoughts and suspicious, about who organized this DDoS attack?
 
Could it be Dilarus and the Twitter mob?
 
Any publically available information from Twitter, 4chan or other places, which would indicate why the DDoS attack is happening right now?

Yes, it’s all a conspiracy. Obviously. Derpi should surround their servers with tin foil. It’ll stop the ddos.

Don’t worry about it. “They” have tried this before many times and it has failed every time.

I had it once today. It’s fine, Derpi has survived far worse in the past. This means the haters are getting desperate.

Looks like the request throttling the staff was using against the undesireable is still in effect lol

I know of at least 5 people including myself that are downloading derpibooru, as in all images. And if i already know so many people doing it, i imagine other people doing the same, especially people transfering images from here to ponybooru.
 
So it might look like DDOS attack when it might also just be a bunch of people trying to save what they can before staff starts their censorship tirade which seems more likely with everyday that passes.

People usually use the “Derpibooru Downloader” tool to get their favorites saved.
 
And I tried accessing images by links, and those links work just fine when fully re-downloaded, even at the moments when the site doesn’t let me use it “due to DDoSing”.

From all that was said, it looks like only some blatant propaganda, racism, hate speech, etc. things will be removed.
 
It’s not that many arts to worry about. Most of those don’t really have any artistic value at all.

It’s not the art that gets removed by new rules that will ruin the site’s credibility; it’s the artists who left over all the incessant flip-flopping that will do that job.

I’m just going to leave this here:  
Since philomena’s source code is open, some Anon on a specific image board found a vulnerability that can take the whole site to its knees with a single “package”, causing out of memory error and a crash loop. He called it a tactical nuke, but said he is not going to use or disclosure it yet. This was quite a few days ago (maybe even a week ago).
 
But the whole 4chan community is against any kind of attack and are actively restrain people who would start to plan a raid. Immediately told the guy not to do it. Unlike the community here who immediately blames everyone else and plan to ruin everything but mostly themselves.

There are a fuckton of already removed art because of the huge DNP list. Also from the mod chat they said that around 40k images are already affected by DNP and are requested to be removed IIRC.

You know that there are multiple archive sites for derpi right? Which contain every uploaded image ever, even the ones which were removed. Its pointless (and slow) to grab the images from here, go and grab one of these archives and the daily database dump from here for the tags.

One of them has the archive hidden, you have to have the direct link to it to work.  
The other one was one time resulted in a ban if you linked to it.

I think there was no DDoS.  
I think they just manually activated “Under Attack Mode” of cloudflare  
 
Probably because of ban-evaders and they thought its a script and that the cloudflare captcha would stop it?
 
Or did anybody experience any actual Error?

I did experience random errors, with no page loading at all a few times.
