Another problem uploading

I tried doing it on both my phone and tablet, same thing happens both times. I try to upload a specific pic, the select image thing come up, I pick the image, and the “choose” option flashes the. instantly disappears, with nothing selected. I tried uploading it to Imgur and doing it from the link, but it keeps telling me there isn’t an image at the link. I tried uploading again, after saving the image from Imgur- to create a new save file, and it gives me some error that the image width, height or other thing can’t be blank…

I tried uploading the image to a development instance of the site and it worked without any issues. Could you share more details on how you’re trying to upload it?

Sometimes JPGs from some platforms don’t work, often with those kinds of errors. But this image on imgur is a png and those don’t exhibit the same kinds of problems.

When I enter the actual string of the image in the Fetch field, https://i.imgur.com/ByAUC3r.png - and click Fetch, the image loads and it looks like it will upload here just fine.

Have you tried uploading the image from Imgur using the https://i.imgur.com/ByAUC3r.png URL in the Fetch field?

If that works, then the problem might not be your browser or the image per sé, but something about the image on your tablet or phone.

As byte[] asked, can you share more of the actual steps that you are following, and let us know the format of the image on your device (if that is visible on your devices), as well as which manufacturer/brand the devices are?

And please try using the image’s URL in the Fetch field to see if that gives you a different result.

There’s been other odd edge cases with images - particularly some of the JPGs we’re getting from Twitter - that I’d like to figure out how to replicate and this info might help figure out what’s going on.
