Artist Tags

Theoretically speaking (not really), if an artist made a picture but borrowed a cutie mark design from another artist in order to make the picture, should the artist who made the cutie mark also be listed in the tags?
 
Sorry if this has already been brought up, but I kinda doubt I’ll find what I’m looking for if I sift through the forums.

On a purely DO WHAT’S RIGHT level, they should be tagged.
 
On a “let’s be real…” level, no. Most cutie mark vectors are (intentionally) traces or near 1:1 recreations that can be done in a handful of minutes. And they’re used by other people, a lot,(that’s kind of the whole point in making them, really), so you’d end up with loads of taggings for something that takes up 0.2% of image space.
 
For the record, I started off vectoring doing cutie marks, and I don’t expect (or in most cases want) to be tagged if someone uses one I made.
 
And as a curiosity, ever noticed how much art there is where Trixie’s mark has 6 twinkles, but only 5 on the show? That’s my bad…

Oh. And if you mean an original mark… if it’s just copy-paste, then tag them. If it’s actually drawn new, then no; imagine how cluttered artist tags would be on OC images…
