implies that the reporting tips say something about this limitation. It doesn’t. This also has never happened to me before and I know for a fact I have had something like 6 reports open simultaneously before (mostly site scope related), is this a new feature?
Most importantly, what is one supposed to do about clear/suspected rules violations one comes across while they have 3 reports open? Not report them?

I think the 3 reports at a time thing was added back when the whole Nazi controversy was active because the mods didn’t want to keep getting spammed with reports on things that may or may not have been rule breaking.
It should be going back to normal soon apparently.

It used to be 3 for staff as well, but we lifted the staff limit because some of us use the reporting queue to track users who ask for help, or to track progress on sub-projects of larger reports or projects, so for a while I think I was opening as many as a dozen reports a day.
But, for non-staff, yeah, it’s still only 3.
