What is the length limit (or, if not limited by string length, whatever is the relevant limit) for API requests?

In particular, I’m fetching https://derpibooru.org/api/v1/json/search/tags?per_page=50&q= followed by a query string, experimenting with a shipping name finder. When many characters are present, this string can get quite long, and returns error 414 URI Too Long. I’ve seen it both as a Cloudflare error page and as an ordinary HTTP error.

[edit] And since I’ve found certain longer queries succeed while shorter querries error out, there must be other limits at play besides just length.

Does image merging handling galleries properly? I clearly remember that I’ve added >>2689431 (merged) to ‘My favorite OCs’ some time ago, but few days back higher-resolution version was uploaded, thus >>2689431 (merged) was merged into >>3017926 and disappeared from the gallery.

That indeed appears to be a bug, because your gallery still turns up in a search for galleries that have the pre-merge ID, but not the post-merge ID. Will you report it?

Recently, some russian users like sunrise25 keep spamming the Z letter.

I think we should extend the anti-spam rule to russian trolls who keep spamming the cheap symbol of their war. It’s a useless expression.

Report a comment/post for Rule n and point out that it’s a consistent pattern of behavior in support of naZi genocide in the “Provide anything else” section.

I did report some of the comments for “spam”. This time I lodged one more report explaining why is the Z letter a hate symbol supporting russian war crimes.

I hope the mods should do something towards lousy spammers like them. To me, it’s so brain dead for them to post a hateful letter.

So I’m in a pm role play with a friend and their envelop thing doesn’t show that I replied to their pm. Any fixes or troubleshooting tips?

How many messages, more or less? IIRC there’s a limit to how many PMs a convo can have, though I believe you should get a warning when hitting it…

They can still message me, I don’t thing it was hidden. There’s 247 messages. But another one I’ve done has 855.

How long does it usually take before images are merged? Because my images >>3003213 (merged) and >>3023781 aren’t merged yet (and the newer one should be kept, the old removed) after a few days. They’ve been merged now. Ignore this question.

Also, why isn’t there a way to unhide conversations?

I want to change my MMA thread title if the edit button was still there.

I don’t talk about Boxing nor other martial arts anymore but MMA.

I don’t see a way to do that on Philomena. You’re welcome to just discuss MMA if you want, though. Or, if you want an MMA only thread, maybe start a new one?

I think you staff guys are capable of doing it for me. I want to change my thread title rather than start a new one. Starting a second thread looks so uneasy for me since I have to start over a new and a waste of space for this site.

If you guys are capable of changing it, it would be MMA Thread (UFC, Bellator, ONE Championship, etc.).

You can report the thread’s starting post for “Other” and ask for the thread title to be changed.

Yeah, I didn’t realize the new method existed. Super handy.

Over the past few days, I’ve had 3 reports where I included further related items that need attention in the report description, which is the prescribed way to go about it as explained in the “Reporting Tips” section on the reporting page, and had them overlooked by whoever handled the report. I had to subsequently make follow-up reports for those items individually.

Would the mods and helpers please be reminded to check report descriptions carefully?

i want to delete all my posts on this site, forum replies, all my image uploads, artwork and threads. i want my artist and editor tags removed and deleted (if that’s not possible, then anonymized) along with my account entirely. if everything can’t be nuked entirely then everything anonymized for example: artist:php58. how would i do this? what is the process and what steps do i take? this is for my privacy.

There’s lots of options, but … you don’t appear to any art here as far as I can see. You have uploaded things - were those your artworks? If so, please submit an Artist Link request so we can verify your identity as the creator of those images and then we will take them down. After that we can anonymize your profile to whatever degree works best for you.

Feel free to send me a PM with the details to identify which images are your creations, and I will help you get this done.
