Apparently things didn’t go exactly as planned during the outage? What happened?
I slept through the outage, it started about 20 minutes before I went to bed, thinking it’ll be over when I get up. It appears to have been a chaotic night based on various forum messages and images.

Hey, idk if this has been mentioned yet, but since the came back from the outage, most of my galleries are missing most/all of the pictures i added to them. did the outage do something to affect the galleries?

Based on some conversations in Discord the problems with galleries not showing all their images is related to the ongoing reindexing. In the next day or so, those problems should go away.

I checked one random gallery of yours (the “Requests/Commissions” one), the database says it should have 44 images. Is that correct? If so, then when reindexing finishes they should all be visible and there’s nothing to worry about.

Yes, I believe so. I forgot what those images were. Though worth noting is that I made that particular gallery back when the rearrange function was broken, just to test it out.

Your images are slowly returning as the site reindexes images. It will take a day or so to complete, but they’ll be back.

Everything and yet nothing! The site is now running on a different server, but it’s the exact same site. It simply loads a lot faster now, and we have more room to improve the site.

Elasticsearch replication took a dump and destroyed the cluster, couldn’t get it to re-form. Needed to reindex from scratch, then there were multiple problems with the fast indexer (it wasn’t kept up to date with changes to indexing code).

If replication had worked successfully, the move would have been done in under an hour.
If the fast indexer had worked on the first try, under three (though lingering issues would have remained).

The database dumps have not been updated since the server update, five days ago.
Are they forgotten?
