I’m not seeing anything resembling spam of low grade art. Occasional screencaps and the like here and there, but most of what I’m seeing uploaded looks good.

An artificial global rate limit on uploads would frustrate people a lot… waiting in a queue to upload something and someone else snipes it and the timer resets for you and a dozen others…

I meant time gap for each separately. You can upload something at the same time with somebody else but you can’t upload an image per 15 seconds

Oh. The current rate limit is already 15 seconds (not sure you mean seconds or minutes… previous post said minutes, and that feels like a lot…)

I meant that now it 15 seconds and it’s too small gape. Maybe 15 minutes is a lot but 5-10 min may be just right until the end of the event

Now that removals count for negative points against the enemy team, has the mod staff noticed an uptick in reportmaxxing?

I remember a few years ago there was a feature being tested with regards to uploading images. Where if the artist had an account here on the site, it would include them in the upload information to along with the uploader

It went like:

“Uploaded by X. Artist account is Y.”

Is that feature still being considered to be implanted some day, or has that idea officially gone to the scrap bin?

Uploader is a one-to-one for images. Artist can be many-to-one.

Uploader is listed (if they wish) at the top of the post. The artist is listed (if they wish) via the artist tag. This way, too, if there are 100 artists they show in the tags instead of … a pop-up?

And, you can search for uploader or artist.

What is it that you think is missing? Or how would you implement “artist account is” given that there can be more than one artist?

Oh im not trying to offer suggestions on how that should work or improvements for it.

I just got reminded that this featured existed for a few days then got removed and i don’t think there was any statement on it, so i was wondering if it was still being considered or if the idea got officially scrapped

I don’t think anyone knows how to implement it where “artist” could be “enormous list of people”, and where “the artist profile link has to be updated every time the image is viewed or an artist tag gets changed”.

I mean, it also has to handle us editing the uploader or the artist tags, even if the artist tags are changed enmass via a tool or an aliasing.

It’s kind of non-trivial.

It’s not scrapped. That would mean someone said “no” and there’s no one to do that. It just hasn’t been done. Someone might, but no one has. There’s no “product manager” for Philomena, it’s open source. So someone just has to do it if they want to, and then the boorus that use Philomena have to decide if its appropriate for their branch and integrate and test it.

That’s not “scraped” - that’s “no one’s done it”.

It was done, but don’t believe it went live (or at least not for long). Because yeah, collabs etc.

Hmmm … yeah, that makes sense.

Maybe should again give 5 points for uploading? Game is not so fair

Also, be sure to apply the points retroactively for tagging done since the start of the event.

Because holy buy some apples, has it been a lot of work trying to make even a tiny dent in sufficiently tagging the upload flood.
