dead account?

Hi everypony,
 
If someone’s account name changed to “dead account” does that mean the account was disabled by site admins or did that person actually rename his/her account “dead account”. Just wondering, because someone I talk to a lot here recently changed their account name to “dead account”.

I’m guessing here, but they probably renamed their account on their own.
 
Usually if the staff disable and rename an account, the new name will be “deactivated” followed by some random letters and numbers.
