Don’t worry, everybody here is saying that “refugee” is fine.  
We felt like refugees, after all. We’ve been a community of refugees.

Sounds like a cool idea. I might have a few ideas that I’ll share when I can.

I don’t mind the badges but… Can they not be visible everywhere?  
Apart from the duck one(to show who is likely to stir shit up) I don’t really see how having them there by the users name all the time help with anything.  
And maybe it’s best for them no to been seen until you work out more of them, a lot more.

I have an idea. Rather than having some sort of badge for X number of comments, faves, edits, uploads, or mariachi bands…we just have one badge.  
“Academy record,” represented by a lead pony emblem. Awarded to users with a reputation for SERIOUSLY overachieving in some manner, such as roboshi or myself. There’s no numerical qualification, which should keep it fairly exclusive.

Proposal for “X-fan” badges, based on comments and forum posts.
 
“Took It to the Forums” for people who use the forums correctly.

It’d be even better if it was awarded randomly, and we got “why did x get a badge” threads each week.

A simple idea that’s probably been mentioned already: Mod badges. A badge for each mod to give to someone for whatever reason.

If we do get x fan badges, does the person get to choose the badge image? (If the badge is incredibly exclusive, like only 2 people)
 
Cause i would love to have a tyler face badge for my rap fan badge.

I was definitely thinking it would be show/fandom related. Some others have posted good suggestions.

Badges for account age. I think it would be helpful to help new users find people who can help them!

A badge for those who hate badges.  
It would be delicious.

How about the ability to click on a badge and see a list of all the users who have it?

A badge for users who have created really successful RPs. Unicron, Techdragon Etc…

How about a badge for users who’ve uncovered a significant number of works from a long-dead artist/gallery? Tomb Raider maybe? or something along those lines?
