@shyflutter There is a good reason for the buttons being smaller. It's so people don't fucking abuse the downvote system because it's something people don't like or agree with, example: fetish content and screw with the score rating, which affects other people's searching.
We initially removed the "neigh" button because we couldn't fit "yay", "neigh" and "fave" on the thumnail along with a potential 4 digit count of score, fave and comments. People bitched like nothing else over the removal of the downvote button, so we brought it back. But that needed cutting down the text size, meaning simple icons rather than the big button.
We can do one or the other here. Apparently most people are happy with the latter solution. It's gonna take a lot of convincing to have us go back to bigger buttons.
@The Smiling Pony What do you think of putting different colors for the different ratings tags?? Here's my suggestion: Safe stays blue, Suggestive is yellow, questionable is orange, explicit is red, and grotesque is scarlet.
@Vargus Personally I think it's more useful to colour the tags based on their general categories. One colour for ratings tags, another colour for artist/author/etc tags, another for spoilers, and so on.
@SeraphimDawn@Background Pony Or just put tiny 50x50 things in there (like it does in My Comments etc), which respects your spoilers/hidden tags and so on? Afaik this is something we wanted to do for a while now, and should be possible; we just haven't got around to implement it, and it'd need some testing with specific cases like when an image is merged/deleted etc.
There's the "View" and "View Sample" buttons on an image's comment page itself, but would it be possible to add a an option to go directly to an image from the index, without navigating through the image's comment page?
So Weasyl does this thing where it puts a red border around explicit pics. But not the entire border, just the bottom right corner. So if you're gonna add colors to the thumbnails based on rating, please do something more subtle like that.
@trashboat There isn't anything that hard about the color green in text form. Also, it would be quite nice to NOT rely on linking from Tumblr, Know your meme, or 4chan.org all the time when you want to get a picture!!
