Yes, we generally try to fit in that ballpark.

It’d be cool if there were favourited tags which would work just like watched tags, but you could see them publicly. Similarly to the favourite vs upvote system.
 
Also it’d be cool if it was possible to watch faved_by:<user>.

You know that you can actually search faved_by:USERNAME already, don’t you?  
I don’t know if it would be preferable for every user if you could watch them too. Since many asked if the faves could be marked private.  
But did you try to add them to your watch list manually?

I do know that you can search by faved_by:<user> and I did try to add faved_by:<user> manually which didn’t work.
 
I guess it is a bit fringe use case.
 
Any case, public favourited tags would be cool.

Ok, this is going to sound like selfish nagging, but can it be that if reuploads are getting merged that the original uploader still gets the credit for it for the upload? (And preferable that it is still under the original number.) Especially if it is some background pony who did the re-upload? Because it happened to me at least three times that one of my older uploads was merged with a slightly bigger version. Recently >>738808, which I uploaded two years ago and had a score about ~20, and now it has >100.  
Since I am trying to get the artist badge this kinda bugs me. :-/

Why not make all the uploaders for merged images get credit (barring technical obstacles, of course)?

Wouldn’t that just lead (like, instantly) to morons constantly uploading extra versions just so they could get split credit for popular images? Especially now that there are ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKS to chase?

Don’t take this personally but uploading it first is less important than uploading it at full size.

To be fair, there are a lot of situations where the artist uploads a larger size somewhere after their initial posting. I know many post on Tumblr first (size limited) then hours or days later post the full version to DA/IB. Also some like Dimwitdog that will suddenly upload 20 “old” images to imgur or dropbox in full res.
 
I know bbq wanted a multiple source field, so a multiple uploader field might be a thing that is possible. Though probably not automatic.

Very true, though it’s pretty much impossible to nail down all those scenarios at the time of a merge.

I think what MadBlack was also getting at the fact that when <popular artist name> uploads a picture to both dA and tumblr at the same time, there are some people here that will first immediately upload the one they encountered first (say, the 1280px tumblr version) before they actually think “ohey the artist also has a dA maybe it’s bigger there because that was the case in NEARLY ALL THE PREVIOUS THINGS I UPLOADED”.

Like you get notification on site inbox but there is no way to have them send to email. It would be really useful for keeping track of things so one does not have to have lots of site inboxes open

Guys, could you please make “pony” tag to function as “-humanized,-equestria girls,-anthro”? This would make searching easier.

Not a bad idea, but you need to figure out a way to handle species swaps, which obviously don’t fit into the previous three categories, but also don’t fit into the new one either.

We could also introduce “not pony” tag, but it would take a year or two for it to populate new images.

I would like a clop tag for filtering too… But it got rejected for this exact reason. If we get a group of assiduous taggers then we could get such tags… And I think the mods could create such an tag automatically. The voluntary taggers would just have to check if everything is correct.

We can mass add a “clop” tag (or whatever) to these images (or a better search pattern if you have one), but, can you guarantee there will be enough active, dedicated people to go through the whole database for inconsistencies and make sure the tag is applied to new images?

Well +58k is a whole bunch to check and it would take time.
 
And I can’t say if user would add it correctly. Some seems to have problems with the difference between the plot and ass tagging as it is. (I retagged about a thousand in the last two month of those.) But I guess if we make the users aware of it, they would know.

OK, the thing is, I want to know there will be at least a small group of people dedicated to curating that tag, because it’s a rather big new thing and not having people dedicated to it makes it a bit pointless.

Well I volunteer for it. Let’s see if we can get a little group for it. It just need some sort of organisation, like who is checking which images, or a timetable.  
And a clear definition what we tag as clop and where we draw the line. Like suggestive Pony Pictures in Lingerie, or just the regular questionable and explicit porn.
 
For example I wouldn’t know right away if this is clop or not.
