I have the same problem with Megan Williams, I have an open report of a few explicit Megan pics that never got an answer for.

Is it at all possible to implement a feature that can be used to block certain users from appearing in comments and/or forum posts when you’re logged it? After having dealt with a lot of people here who’s opinions I find strongly distasteful I’d like to be able to ignore them so I can focus on simply having fun with ponies.
 
I know this is probably too much to ask for and I don’t really think it’s even possible but I do wish it’d be easier sometimes to filter out certain people. It’s alright if you say “no”, just asking.

Yeah that would be actually nice. But it is on the not gonna happens list. Which is kinda a shame, because it could be handy, even if it was just for the forums.
 
@Staff ever thought to outsource the forum to a other software like vBulletin or XenoForo? They have a lot of features you plan on doing available, at least for the forum…  
Of course it would be a lot different. Advantage would be a better comment bar (but in bb code), media and video integration, ignore list ect. Of course things like the automatic picture embedment via >>xxxp and other specific stuff would be kinda tricky.

Oh, right, on-topic… I still think the [Post Comment] button should be moved a little further down from the text entry field to make tiny screens less nerve-wracking to use.

Man, there has got to be a way to do something like that as a Firefox or Chrome add-on, where a script looks for names on a blacklist and spoilertexts any posts that have those names in the header.

Those solutions are intensive on their own, not maintained by us and primarily not integrated with the actual site.

There are userscripts that do these things. I’ll hunt for a link through my several thousand angry PMs for the artist that demanded one tomorrow.

Yeah the transfer would be probably very intense. The maintenance afterwards could be actually be easier after it. Since these software are very user and admin friendly.  
Of course safety is a whole other business. And I can’t know if vBulletin or XenoForo would be a step down in that regard. I only used those as a user, and on as a mod, never as an admin.

Didn’t see this listed in the first post, so here goes I guess:  
On gallery pages on spoilered images, have a tag symbol at the start of the text in the black box. When you hover over it (or click/tap it on a mobile device), show the tag list for that image so you get a better idea of if you really want to uncover it or not. Just a small convenience thing.

Well for computers it already shows the tags when you hover over it spoiled or not. Although there could be something for mobiles.

Yes, for PCs or any device with an actual pointer, hovering over the image will show the tags (up to some character limite).
 
Mobile device support is not easy given different devices and browsers behave differently.

So apparently tagging lolita on a loli pic (>>695434) is okay, but tagging shota on a shota pic is not?

For the user menu at the top right (that drops down into “watched”, “upvotes”, etc), could it it possible to make that assessable to touch screens?
 
I like to check for new art from my favorite artists using the watch list, but if I’m checking Derpibooru on a phone or tablet, clicking that simply takes me to my profile instead of showing the menu.

Try clicking just the arrow to the right - it doesn’t link (only the text part does), so it should make it drop-down without redirecting you.

A minor suggestion regarding image hiding, an option for hiding images that have been downvoted by the user in the past, I noted that “Per-image hiding” is on the “not doing” list, but this is a little bit different, potential alternative? It would only require a toggle value in user settings instead of what would have been another space-consuming table.

It basically changes the colour of the headers on images based on their rating, i just organised the if statements in order of importance, so it doesn’t take into account combined ratings(such as explicit+grimdark), you could fix that a number of ways but I couldn’t be bothered at the time :D

Any chance of getting a whitelist for filters? It would make it easier to favorite stuff to clop to and stuff you like on the same account, by just toggling your filters when you need to. Since, as far as I’m aware, you cant actually search within favorites.

You can search within favourites. It’s at the bottom of the search page (along with upvote search), or you can just add “faved_by:gyrotech” to the query.

AFAIK there was some internal discussion on spoilering downvoted images natively, but hiding affects deeper things.

Spoilering them can easily be done with a custom javascript, the downvote arrow receives the “voted_down” class if the image is downvoted, so i could do it myself. But I understand that retrieving the right number of submissions requires a little more server side processing with hidden posts. One thing to note is that it wouldn’t be good to hide a post as soon as it’s downvoted, so it’d only need to be performed on page load.
