In regards to anonymous accounts...

Dear Derpi mods:  
I noticed in one of the images that was showcasing a possible example of product placement (or a reference to a real life product to be more specific), there was a user that was taking advantage of the anonymous commenting system to send hate comments about a mod that banned them. And it made me wonder: do you have any sort of protections against that? As in, do you have a way to block anonymous accounts if they start sending hate messages? Because otherwise you really have a big vulnerability on your hand where any number of people can upload spam or hate comments like that before the mods get the chance to take them down (plus it only makes it harder on the mods as they have to go through and delete all of those bad messages).

Report the user, mods can ip ban which can only be bypassed via vpn. If the user switches vpn’s there isn’t much else that can be done, besides banning that ip as well.
 
Edit: I found the comment you’re talking about, I’ve reported them and it will be dealt with when a mod is available.

To send hate comments about a mod that banned them for their “hilarious joke about killing cops” no less.
 
Gee … if that’s the thing they actually admit to, I wonder why they were banned?
