I use an older and new version of Opera and I am getting the Javascript error as well, but on the new version the error appears for second then leaves.

Opera version 12 and 32. Here is the error code.

I think I have found the cause of the Opera 12 issue. It is a parser error known to happen when minifying jQuery (see https://twitter.com/bougay/status/187394083797467136). It was supposedly fixed in Opera 12.5, and since I was unable to reproduce it with Opera 12.16 I’m wondering if you may not be using the very latest version of the 12.x releases.

As for Opera 32, the quick appearance of the warning before removal seems to be an issue Chromium-based browsers have in common. I have an idea about how to speed it up though, so I’ll see about getting that done later this week.

Yes Opera 12 is still a thing being the last version of Opera before they completely abandon it so if you have a couple thousand bookmarks you can not port them into Opera 13 as well as a number of other problems I found. So some Opera users prefer 12.

@ValkyrieZero
Opera 13 never existed, they skipped to 15.
And they didn’t “abandon” it, they just changed the rendering engine to Google’s Blink. It’s a shame for Presto, but they had a lot of problems trying to keep up with the new stuff. Sooner or later, Presto will be so outdated that will be some kind of IE8 of the modern web.

Sad thing is Opera could become Chinese soon. I really don’t like the group of investors behind the bid.

Anyway, I managed to import my Opera 12 bookmarks into new Opera without any issues. Can’t remember how I did it, though.

I should note that we will not make an effort to support Opera 12 going forward. Fortunately they had implemented the new version of the flexbox standard before Presto development ended (otherwise you would be seeing parts of the site in a broken state right now), but as we continue to update Derpibooru we will not be testing it in Opera 12.
