Old API Deprecation Notice

Joey, in the future you should probably preface things like this with “if you don’t know what an API is, this probably doesn’t affect you” to save yourself a lot of questions.

I just have trouble identifying when someone is joking or not sometimes….

One of my scripts currently relies on the old API to get the previous/next image id of an image: https://derpibooru.org/next/152470.json?q=oc%3Agreg  
Is it possible to do with the new API? It’s alright if it isn’t, I already have something in mind as a workaround.

Does it effect tablet versions of derpibooru?

There are no tablet versions, or mobile versions. Whatever device you’re using, you’re browsing the website through your browser and that will not be affected.

It is, but you first need to load a search, and then simply read the array elements of the search results, and once you reach the end of your array, you can load the next search page with ?page=2 and so on.

That sounds more complicated than what I had planned, which is to just fetch() the nav button links and use regex to extract the image id from the resolved url.

Nothing really changes apart from a specific part of the website, which the program developers can use to interact with the site.
