  1. What rules? Tell where nazi promotion and hate speech using a cartoon and toy brand aimed at small children is allowed. Tell me what rule allows you to use this place as a political platform first to normalize the genocide of groups of people.

Hiding in a site literally anyone with internet and two neurons can get to and read and contribute to. A site that quite possibly had influence in the last US presidential election. So it completely defeats the purpose of being “hidden”. It’s a petty thing to celebrate if you ask me.
 
So it gets back to my initial point. If you want to avoid yourself the nazi content, filters are your thing. If you want to be the moral soccer mom and control what other people do with their eyes and their own time, well congrats, the problem is worse now. Tell them to fuck off? they will. I’ve seen people stashing aryanne porn on latinamerican discord servers, antisemitic jokes and memes, all that shit. And that’s okay. That is the inevitable fate of censorship. This is the fate our friend TSP created.
 
It is only natural that people circumvent restrictions. They might just do it out of spite because people hate being told what to do.

It is only natural that people circumvent restrictions. They might just do it out of spite because people hate being told what to do.
 
so what you’re saying is, people can’t post nazi ponies and antisemitic jokes in public any more, so they are hiding them in private discord servers?

Well spoken, “case by case” basis not absolutes which is what I argue for. I am not going to disagree with you there, natzis bad. Ideology bad but not Herostratic fame for a little horse or the power to talk, see or know about something even if its just an edgy joke. Heck especially if satire gone wild, if you like we can continue this in private messages.

Aryanne did not desensitize me to nazism.  
WW2 shooters did not either.  
WW2 media, politics… none of these things desensitized me.
 
You know what did? You twitter idiots, hurling around the word nazi the second someone says something vaguely misguided.
 
When I heard the word Nazi, I used to recoil at thoughts of Hitler and the awfulness of the holocaust. Now I just groan… Because there be drama ahead.

so you saw someone on twitter decrying what they saw as being similar to nazism and the message you took away from that is that making nazi comparisons is meaningless? that’s your own fault dude.
 
depicting nazis as anything but detestable and horrific (like in the case of many aryanne pics) is actual glorification, because to even consider them sympathetic is putting them on a pedestal much higher than the pits of depravity where they reside.
 
anyway, you are painting me with a very broad brush, i dont even have a twitter.

Pff. I am sure you have good intentions. You hate nazism, i’m right there with you. Amen to than. I’m just merelly stating that clamping down in free expression out of the blue like this actually worsens the situation.
 
Look, god knows how much i hate, revile and despise socialism/communism. I was already being called a “nazi fascist” as far back as 2014, because me and my community blocked streets, because my country (Venezuela) was in the economic gutter even then and we were pissed. We were shot at, raped and empoverished, people were sent to prison over “hateful” tweets. My family had to eat raw cabbages so my little cousins could have a decent meal instead. I had to drop out of college because the situation was unsustainable. I had to move to another country with 2000 dollars in debt and basically squat and swallow my rightful anger. And because of the fierce information supression, many poor Venezuelans live in squalor and have no idea why and thus never fight.
 
You know what i feel when i see a bunch of clueless white kids flying ther stupid ass red flags? it makes my stomach churn. It’s cringe.
 
But that’s perfectly fine. They have the right to. Because freedom of expression is fucking great and it has given us many grat things, and censorship fucking sucks, even when it miraclously works.

    2)US embargo started in August 2019, before then they were one of the main importers of Venezuelas main product, oil. The issues Venezuela has are decades older.

Perhaps a debate for another thread, as all three of your points have body counts attached to them. But to my knowledge this one does not. You enter Derpibooru with the ability to turn off safe mode by default and any tags you do not like. A tag being removed, an entire theme shadow or outright banned seems on face value like censorship. And a constriction of user abilities does it not?
