While there certainly is an argument here, I would like to advise caution about arguing semantics on “censorship”; it is mostly used to refer to stopping things because of their content, and commonly used to refer to television, which notably is not censored by the government in the US, but by members of private companies trying to apply often-outdated moral restrictions on what can be shown based on a show’s expected audience and time slot.

This is censorship. It is not governmental censorship.
 
I’m not saying it’ll be illegal to go through with the image bannings. I’m saying it would be morally wrong. Please, I need you to realize that. You have a good target but your methods are evil. You think that everyone opposes you because they support your target. What we are critical of are your methods. Censorship is not a “necessary evil”, it is a dangerous evil. It is the antithesis of democracy…and the enemies of democracy are as dangerous as neo-nazis.
 
Here, lemme do some quick substitutions.
 
Authoritarians use and abuse good-meaning people’s calls for censorship to spread their subjugating policies and put themselves in positions of power without the consent of the governed. The only way to curb the spread of Big Brother is to resist restrictions on freedom of speech they claim is for our own best interest.
 
This whole debate is wobbly anyway because it isn’t actual censorship. The derpibooru mods can’t throw you in jail or take away your computer for posting nazi ponies, the most they can do is hijack what was once a free community, replace the slogan of love and tolerate with control and propagandize, and tell us to move somewhere else, and then those other places are full the actual neo-nazis that we want nothing to do with. Oh, and they can doxx, harass, and ruin our lives.
 
Freedom of speech protects us from nothing if we do not stand for it, at all times, forever.

Also, as an addendum, everything the pro-censorship group is arguing for is the same thing other pro-censorship groups argue for when it comes to censoring LGBTQ+ content on the internet. Same methods different target. Same puritan cruelty and desire to control art.
 
You lump us anti-censorshipists in with neo-nazis. If that’s how you want to play, then we should lump you in with the homophobes. You certainly copy their talking points all too well.

the topic of american television “censorship” is a very big can of worms. to put it shortly, television in america is controlled (“censored”) by companies who pander to conservatives because conservatives hold a lot of social & political influence due to their mass amounts of wealth.

You know, the Old Testament and the Quran can get pretty racist and homophobic sometimes. By today’s standards at least. We don’t want these beliefs reinforced. Therefore we should get rid of all abrahamanic depictions.
 
Come to think of it, all tongue in cheek depictions of Celestia being kind of a tyranical monarch kinda ease people into the idea of a hard oppresive monarchy. Not to mention molestia, then we add sexual assault to the whole mess. We doin’t want people laughing and clopping their way into being pro-monarchy. Why don’t we pull the bad weed by the roots and eliminate any and all positive to neutral depictions of Celestia?

nazis dont exist in the pony universe. a nazi pony only comes into being when someone draws one, there’s no need to remember the atrocities that nazi ponies caused because they didn’t cause any.

Never said i was talking outside derpibooru. If you check back, i pretty much spoke about Derpi in every example except the Call of Duty one. We are talking about making Derpibooru completely pristine and pure right? The only logical conclussion is going all the fucking way and purge all these things from the page. Nazi imagery is the mere start. I guess Molestia is somewhere next in the chopping block.
