One thing I’ve been thinking of is the ability to add more complex queries to the watch list. I have no idea if it’s viable from a technical standpoint (the processor load could be very large) but it would be nice if I could add, say, “(explicit AND NOT (humanized OR human nudity OR anthro))” to my watch list.
 
I can achieve a similar effect using filters to remove the images completely, but ideally I still want to be able to see them in search results and the global image list.
 
It’s no big deal if you can’t do this though.

Like I mean a number next to “Watched” up in the corner, as a little bit of a notification system, which goes away after you’ve seen the picture/clicked on it.
 
Or how about adding watched imaged to the Notification Centre? That would be enough for me, although what Sunnyside’s suggesting is pretty good.

The search field should have larger size for multiple tags and tag suggestions, just like the tagging fields on posts.
 
Wildcard searches don’t appear to be working correctly, either. The “t*ixie” example brings up only one image, when it should be bringing up all twixie and trixie images. I also tested this using “impossibly large**” and “princess**”.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but when you have multiple tags on the spoilered list, only one of them (not sure how it’s decided how) gets in the little black bar atop the spoiler image.  
Example: when you spoiler both questionable and vore, the spoiler image becomes vore, and in the bar it also only says ‘vore’. I would like it if it also said ‘questionable’ on the appropriate images, like it does with ‘questionable,text’ because then you can differentiate between the actual vore and omnivore twilight stuff.
 
The extra tags thingy seems to be sort of broken anyway: if I search for ‘suggestive,vore’ (with vore on spoilered and suggestive on visible) it results in a vore spoiler image with the text ‘vore,suggestive’ in the black bar. However, if I search for ‘questionable,vore’ (questionable is on default) it only puts ‘vore’ in that bar.
 
I’m not sure how this will affect people who spoiler hundreds of things.

Upload by URL with deviantart seems very broken. I never really use it because I don’t trust it, but I’ve come across more than a handful of images now where the dA source allows a higher resolution pic for download than what is here on the booru, or other times the biggest dA preview picture is bigger than the one on here.  
Examples:

>>374895 (merged) dA allows download of bigger image than what’s here
 
and this is why I always download dA pics first before I upload them

Cookies are URL sensitive, so it will get a bit tricky…

I’m gonna be VERY technical with you, so bear with me!
 
Here’s my proposal…
 
full  
  • A new nav bar will have similar interaction as the one shown on FOXADHD ’s new website, only except that the font family (Verdana), color of the nav bar (#eee), and its hovering link color (#6eaede) are the same.
     
  • The logo on the top left would be this icon I made instead - full - and it would lead you to the home page (currently “Activity” at the moment)
     
  • The top left links would be labeled “Images” “Forums” “Comments” “Tags” and “Streams”.
     
  • The Search bar would be located after the top left links. (information on how to use Search would be displayed in a popup after you click on it)
     
  • “Account” would be “your username”. You can click (not hover) on it and all the links that are beside your username right now, are tucked in (even the Logout button).
     
  • Instead of the “Facebook Twitter YouTube” icons, it would be shown with a “Tumblr” icon that directs to their news blog .
     
    Just throwing in ideas here. Feel free to rant on me now.

While I can see the appeal of having cross-domain logins (and while tricky I think I’ve seen some websites that did this as well), but on the other hand, I quite like the separation. I’m logged in via the .org domain and have quite a lot of hidden tags there. By changing the URL to the .ru domain I can quickly gauge if what I’m about to upload might be a dupe or not via an artist tag or something.
 
Since everything after the tld is the same across both domains, perhaps adding a button somewhere on the page that takes you to the .ru and vice versa is an option, to save the effort of changing the URL yourself?

Try this bookmarklet. I just quickly hacked it together (it’s intended to be just one line):

It works by simply changing the domain between depriboo.ru and derpibooru.org, but keeps everything else intact (you stay on the same page). I tested it quickly and it seems to work, but you should test it too before using it more seriously. It works in Firefox 22, no idea about other browsers.
