All Guys Episode

This has been something I’ve been intrigued by. Could it work and how?

I don’t think they could ever pull it off. Too different from what the show is intended to be.
 
Maybe they could go with a “girls vs. guys” episode where they have rivalries and the moral is not to let gender get in the way of friendship.

Shining Armor is tired of Cadance dragging him to the spa, arranges a guy’s day out with Big Mac, Braeburn, etc?

I don’t think that would go well. Other than Spike there are no well-characterized males.

Shining Armor and Prince Blueblood end up in a wacky adventure…

I like to call that the “Cadance Paradox.”

Kinda runs into the fact that none of the major male characters have any reason to hang around.
 
Well, I suppose that you could have Shining and Spike spend some time together, and tossing Blueblood into the mix isn’t too insane a stretch from there…
 
But having, say, Braeburn, Big Mac, Spike, Shining Armor, Fancy Pants and Soarin’ hang around would be just plain weird.

Yeah. And I don’t think one 22 minute episode is enough time to characterize 5 stallions, assuming Spike is involved.

It would be cool to see a Shining focused episode where he does something… Maybe with Blueblood and delve deeper into Blueblood’s character, possibly destroying every single interpretation of him ever.

It would need to either be focused on a few, no more than four, or just one.
 
Everyone loves Shining Armor and think he’s doing a great job as prince. So Blueblood, jealous of the admiration, sets his nose to the grindstone, determined to level up his princely skills despite a hatred of hard work. He borrows Spike to help with his letter-sending work. When things get rough, Blueblood basically asks Spike “what would Shining Armor do”, leading him to end up asking the pony himself and a new friendship between princes forged.
 
Also, shipping, there would be tons and tons of shipping after this episode.

I’m pretty sure they could find 6 more elements to cover 6 stallions.

No. The mane 6 doesn’t have to much interaction with ponies outside their main circle. None of them are stallions. It would be difficult to get characterizations and not to mention good voice actors to fill in the roles of the Stallions.

An episode about Snips and Snails, with the main characters as background characters. Just once, then never do it again.

Shining and Blueblood and Spike kicknapped by changelings

Fancy Pant, Prince Blueblood, Shining Armor are attending a Wonderbolts event and run into Soarin’, who in turn meets up with Big Mac because of his sister’s pies, and with him is Braeburn, who was visiting.

Perhabs it should focus on the princes?

We’ve only seen two so far.
 
Though I wouldn’t mind some hidden depths for Blueblood.

Blueblood hangs out with some Colts. Soarin’,Shining Armor,Fancy Pants, Big Mac,Spike,and Braeburn are in the episode.

Here is my pitch:  
Shining Armor as part of his new “prince” duties is tasked with taking care of Prince Blueblood. (Maybe they have to travel together to a royal princes’ summit or something.) Not wanting to miss the fun, Big Macintosh joins them posing as a prince. (Prince Of Applelootia or something.) It becomes a road trip with three odd guys.

Don’t forget Iron Will, Thunderlane, Rumble, Doughnut Joe, and Gustave.

Idea 1:  
Gustave has prepared mountains of treats and is selling them at a sort of baker’s farmer’s market in the park (Donut Joe is also there, doing the same). On the other side of the park, Iron Will is holding a seminar for chubby ponies who want to lose weight. The episode is mostly a competition for the crowd with lots of sabotage, alliances (Iron Will recruits Snowflake to hype up the crowd) and tricks. Time Turner will mention his pudge is from eating too many muffins lately, ensuring screaming fangasms of blood from DoctorxDerpy fans. The Gustave/Joe roles could be switched.
 
Idea 2:  
Fancy Pants: I wager I can transform Soarin’ into a proper gentlecolt before you can do the same for prince Blueblood.  
Iron Will: DEAL!!
 
Or, Snowflake and Big Mac get into an argument and say “YEEEEAAAHH!!!” and “nnnope” for 22 minutes.

Everyone turns into stallions because of spell mishap.
 
They try to act like proper guys and observe the other stallions in town.
 
They overdo it and start acting so macho and offensive, they make the real guys feel awkward.
 
We learn a lesson about male stereotypes.
 
Closes with a Spike joke who does act like a stereotypical boy. the end

Maybe not. Just growing a pair of wings doesn’t mean she is a instant “god”, she may still not be anywhere the same level as Celestia, Luna, or even Cadence.  
Celestia even implied that she still has a lot to learn.
