In Equestria Girls, Rarity gets annoyed when someone confuses her accent with British. She is still a proud American who believes in the Pursuit of Happiness (her dream of being a world famous designer) and the American Dream. Of course she has no interest in the "trivial" American things like football games or hamburgers, she still prefers wine and cheese from France, which she claims represents thw American free market tradition of commerce.

She prefers to think of herself as a high class New Yorker aristocrat like FDR.
