Haven’t heard them in a while. But this either didn’t rub off on her, or she does have this accent, but she even hid it while in Hope Hollow.
G3: When Zipzee, Tiddlywink, and Tra-La-La saw that Rarity, Pinkie, and Minty were in danger of going over a waterfall in “The Runaway Rainbow”, the story censors a burst of Breezish and Ponish expletives on their part (for obvious reasons).
I maintain that she got the accent from eating magical cheese. The accent is a meme independent of the minds of sapient creatures, that warps reality to bring the cheese, and itself, into existence.
It’s sort of like a Boltzmann Brain but a little less scary.
When Scootaloo and Rumble got hitched, they swore to actually be there for any foals they had.
I think so, but what if the chicken won’t wear the socks?
Then again, it would be hilarious for Rarity and Kerfuffle to chat away about fashion in best Whinnysotan.
Fanfic idea: Whinnysotan becomes the “in” dialect in Equestria’s fashion scene, inspired especially by Kerfuffle, maybe also by a run-in that leading names in fashion had with Rarity’s parents, but somewhat to Rarity’s dismay.
Rarity used to be a jewel thief like Rouge the Bat and would have a hobby of stealing from museums when she was between 16 to 19 years old although she has been good at stealing since childhood.
She had a secret thief identity, so therefore most people arent aware of her thieving past.
It wasn’t until after the final confrontation against the Terrible Trio that Dinky was able to let go of her anger at Tempest.
I recall one set of early “no-Rainboom/swapped Elements” draft that had a phantom thief Rarity as Laughter.
(If it matters, the others were a stern businessmare Pinkie as… either Honesty or Loyalty, I think, a grizzled survivalist Fluttershy as the other, a Manehattan dancer AJ as Kindness, an unscientific hippy Twilight as Magic still, and…well, I don’t think they worked out what to do with Generosity!Dash, but I figured Royal Guard would work. Still an elite, but a faceless one who rejects personal glory.)
Princess Luna uses “thee” and “thou” and the other archaic language when she’s very upset. Otherwise she speaks more or less normally.
Both G4 and Tales: One thing Cheerilee and Miss Hackney have in common is that they have both successfully defended students from foal molesters. In Cheerilee’s case Pezuña’s injuries landed him in the prison wing of the Ponyville hospital; in Miss Hackney’s case, well, a coroner’s jury ruled the creep’s death justifiable equicide.*
- Various Tales episodes already show adult fears. For example one short included preschool-age fillies wandering off at a rock concert, and another’s storyline revolved around a foal who’s been lost for years (and there’s no way her parents could lack for unscrupulous enemies).
Plones are cute.
I know, right?
G3: Applejack and Apple Spice are sisters.
Celestia is deeply lonely and sometimes depressed, though she works hard at hiding it. Since she saw G5, she has been walking around Canterlot with a tennis ball stuck on the point of her horn, saying “Am I cute yet? Do you love me now?”

this made me laugh, thank you

Some time this fall at Hasbro, a brony told a corporate executive, “Nooooo! You can’t artificially create a fad by bringing out a CGI sequel immediately after the end of G4! You’re distorting the popculturino!” The response was “haha tennis ball go brrrrr”
Somewhere in Equestria, sad, frightened ponies are holding up little umbrellas and hoping the enormous Kirin Space Program (no relation to the other KSP, despite similar results) rocket falling from the sky doesn’t land on them.
