I like to think of the pegasi as not just Ancient Greeks but also Byzantines as well. And to a larger extent Eastern European Orthodox civilization as well.

Cloudsdale is ruled by a Tsar. Who only rules Cloudsdale and a few other domains. Cloudsdale is like Muscovy. And Las Pegasus is like Novogorod (it has sadly degenerated into a den of gamblers though instead of a city known for a literate educated democracy)

Also Cloudsdale has always been the second most powerful city in Equestria after Canterlot. And in the future they might become more influencial than the Unicorn dominant city.

Do you think pegasi are capable of holding a large empire together better than ground-based ponies due to faster communication from flying couriers or do you think they’re amazing at conquering large territories and then immediately losing them due to infighting between their generals?

Definitely both.

I can see Pegasi society being ruled over different warlords whenever a weak ruler is in power. Generals might try to be the real rulers of the Pegasus Empire.

I can also see Pegasus lands being like Sengoku Japan or Warlord Era China with a bunch of generals fighting for their own power.

My headcanon has three major cloud cities - Cloudsdale, Las Pegasus, and Windsoar in the east, home to Equestria’s only pegasus royals.

I would think that unicorn magic could also be used to develop some solution for rapid long-range communication. Especially in light of one of the staff saying “If you see anything unusually advanced, assume it’s powered by magic” - with the various examples of audio electronics displayed in the show, one would think that they’re way overdue to invent the telephone.

I think there’s a town full of ultra-religious ponies called Salt Lick City (obviously a play on Salt Lake City.)

Nightmare Moon still exists, but only as a high pitched voice figment of Luna’s mind who just can’t shut up who tries miserably to turn her into evil again. Kinda like an evil concience.

Discord is grieving without Fluttershy around anymore. But Sunny understands his pain since she also lost somepony important to her.

Well, that is one plausible explanation as to why he hasn’t been seen lately - Fluttershy’s death may have hit him hard enough for him to withdraw from pony society.

While Octavia speaks in a PR accent, she actually comes from a family with cockney accent.

That’s indeed my inspiration. Makes me think what would happen when they get into an Octavia concert and they start cheering for her loudly even though classical concerts must have aditional etiquette of the sorts.

When Thorax was in the Crystal Empire after being reformed, Cadance became a sort of mentor for him in the ways of love. And she fully encouraged him to take advantage of the way of love he has embraced and taught him activities related to love.

Observing her running the place also influenced his own style as ruler - although in retrospect, she wished she had actually trained him as such.

Starlight is probably not lesbian and Trixie probably is. Also likely there probably was a situation as to were trixie thought she was into starlight because she cares for her so strongly and was jealous of her and sunburst and kissed her and realized she just likes her as a best friend.

In my G4-verse, infidelity is commonplace and one half doesn’t mind their other half having romantic interactions with others, including family members.
