But the worst of all is Minuette being called an airhead for being so energic and talkative.

The term Lunar Republic is a complete misnomer.

Luna would still function effectively as an authoritarian figure. It honestly functions almost exactly the same as the Solar Empire with a few minor differences.

Solar Empire even has a Parliament so it’s not even an absolute monarchy.

In fact most ponies wxcept for very few even could concieve what an actual republic would be like. And honestly most would laugh at the idea of a pure democracy even NLR supporters.

Not to mention it’s very easy a country having “republic” or “democratic” in it’s name to be anything but.
The idea was to distance itself from the solar empire and then create a black legend around it using british ponies.

One way Pinkie Pie conects with Rarity is by being a diehard Gilbuck and Sullimane fan.

I have this sort of headcanon that Nightmare Moon was a construct to give company to Luna due to how intolerant ancient Equestrian society was, where she eventually went mad and was effectively shunned for a long time until the events of Season 1.

Basically back then the night was associated with monsters and fear, so ponies would shun the night while also seeing the day as a sort of savior, as superstitions and fear was rampant in Equestrian society. So while the Sun and day was cherished and celebrated, the night and moon was mocked and was a scapegoat for everything wrong and bad. This caused Luna to be extremely isolated, where her sister couldn’t give her company due to the immense pressures of Equestria, so Nightmare Moon was formed to be a friend; a figure Luna could vent to. Due to the negative emotions it began to cause a negative feedback loop, where Luna and Nightmare Moon began to have this warped perceptive until they simply snapped. Flash forward to modern times and Luna sees Nightmare Moon as a sort of consequence to her isolation, and as a result she had a very hard time to accept it.

Apple Bloom was the most passionate about attaining a cutie mark.

Scootaloo wanted one but mostly in service of helping her in athletic or cool activities which can cause conflict with Apple Bloom who is not as picky.

Sweetie Belle does want one, but she mostly just wants to be friends with the other two and make sure their friendship through the CMC remains intact.
