Death in MLP

King Sombra is the first character I know of to actually be confirmed dead, but are there any others? Didn’t the Smooze fall into lava or something?

The only character confirmed dead besides AJ’s parents is the one at the funeral that Sweetie Belle crashed.
 
Edit: I should mention one of the showrunners, Theissen I think, said they would be staying away from dark and controversial subjects like death, war, etc. So much for that :/

Well…since I usually don’t consider word-of-god canon, I would put this in the “ambiguous” box. But in saying that, because of the ambiguity, I’ll tepidly accept that King Sombra is deader than disco.
